7. Indicators & Signals
Zyra Guardian Pro supports a wide range of technical indicators, each of which can be individually enabled or disabled. The EA uses these indicators to form a score, determining whether the market conditions favor a BUY or SELL entry.
1. Enabling Signals
- Each indicator has a corresponding boolean parameter (e.g.
EntryIchimoku,EntryRSI, etc.). - Only enabled indicators contribute to the signal score.
- You can activate a single indicator (e.g. just Ichimoku) or combine multiple for multi-confirmation setups.
1 bis. Marking Major Sources for the Consensus
The Consensus Window can treat certain indicators as major veto sources. Enable the following switches in the Parameters page to allow their votes to reset the window when they disagree strongly with the current bias:
- Treat Ichimoku as a major indicator – Ichimoku cloud structure becomes a decisive voice.
- Treat MACD as a major indicator – MACD crossovers can veto the window.
- Treat ADX as a major indicator – ADX trend strength can force a reset.
- Treat RSI as a major indicator – RSI extremes or reversals gain major status.
- Treat Bollinger Bands as a major indicator – Bollinger Band breaks are treated as critical signals.
Activate only the sources you trust the most: majors must confirm the trade direction or they will cancel it and clear the CW buffers until alignment is restored.
2. Signal Logic
- Each indicator casts a vote: +1 for BUY, -1 for SELL, 0 for neutral/no signal.
- The sum of these votes is the total score used for trade decisions.
- Custom filters like breakout confirmation, slope, acceleration, or zone logic are applied before the vote is counted.
3. Key Indicators (Examples)
Ichimoku
- One of the most powerful filters in Zyra.
- Checks for alignment between Tenkan, Kijun, price, and cloud structure.
- Uses a scoring system internally before voting.
RSI
- Uses overbought, oversold, and optional midline filter.
- You can define thresholds like 30/70 and only trade if RSI crosses them.
MACD
- Standard MACD crossover logic (MACD line vs signal line).
- Only signals once per crossover or with confirmation candles.
Stochastic
- Checks %K and %D cross, oversold/overbought zones, and optional midline filtering.
- Good for mean reversion entries or bounce setups.
ATR, ADX, Envelopes
- These are confirmation indicators, used to validate volatility or strength.
- Example: ATR rising = high momentum environment; ADX > threshold = strong trend.
4. Advanced Filters (Optional)
- Most indicators allow you to define additional conditions like:
- Minimum slope (trend strength)
- Acceleration (change over time)
- Zone breakout with confirmation bars
- Distance from key levels (e.g. deviation from average)
- These help reduce false signals and improve entry accuracy.
5. Recommended Setups
- Beginner: Use only
EntryIchimoku = true. - Advanced: Combine Ichimoku + RSI + ADX + MACD for high-probability signals.
- Custom: Enable only the indicators that match your market style or pair behavior.
Note on Overfitting
While Zyra offers a wide range of signals, enabling too many at once may lead to conflicting entries or low signal frequency. It's recommended to test combinations on demo and find a balance between selectivity and reactivity.
